In the early 1960's my Father purchased something that changed my life forever. . .A Polaroid camera. It was rather strange in appearance, but it was the latest and greatist in technology at the time. You could snap the shutter, and in seconds out came a picture that slowly developed in front of your eyes in just a few minutes! It was a like having a portable darkroom. Magic! That camera was a springboard into the next decade when I bought my first 35 mm SLR. As they say, the rest is history.

Cuba LiBRE
Being a foremost tourist location, Orlando among it's many attractions,is the home of hundreds of restaurants. My eye is always drawn toward color and architecture, so after a visit to the International Drive area loaded with bistros and such, I spotted the very flamboyant style of Cuba in the new restaurant known as Cuba Libre. With camera in tow, I composed and processed the following set of photographs.

In The Dark
The other night I went to visit the landmark spot in downtown Orlando; Lake Eola Park. I had forgot my trusty tripod so I winged it. I ended up finding a nice sturdy oak tree, found a steady perch, to position the camera and set my camera- 200 iso - on manual for an 8 second exposure and an fstop of 11. Sometimes when you are not prepared you can come with an acceptable shot. The others are night shots thrown in the mix. Hope you enjoy.

The Barbara Negra
For many years the Barbara Negra graced the dock directly in front of River Street in the hostess city of the south; Savannah, GA. on the Savannah River. Built in Norway in 1896 this lovely ship was even used in the movie: "High Wind In Jamaica" When I visited in 1982 I took this photograph with the old Talmadge Memorial Bridge in the background which has since been replaced.

Festival Of Speed
The Festival of Speed is without a doubt one of the world's very best auto shows. The event came to Orlando's Ritz Carlton Resort last weekend. I was fortunate enough to have tickets and digitally capture some of these beautiful gems - from the newest high end luxury models; (Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati and Mercedes) to classic Jaguars and my personal favorite; a 1952 Hudson Hornet. All in all it was a great show on a beautiful day. Hope you enjoy the small sample of the photographs. More will be posted in the days ahead.

House of Blues
House Of Blues Clubs and restaurants are located in many vacation destinations and bigger cities around the USA. H.O.B is a great place to eat and partake of your favorite beverage, or catch a great show. What sets them apart is that they are distinct in the way each is decorated with artwork and fixtures that intertwine a blues music theme. I have been to several locations, but the one here in Orlando located in Downtown Disney is one of the coolest and colorful venues my eyes have ever beheld. See if you don't agree.
