Cuba LiBRE

Being a foremost tourist location, Orlando among it's many attractions,is the home of hundreds of restaurants.  My eye is always drawn toward color and architecture, so after a visit to the International Drive area loaded with bistros and such, I spotted the very flamboyant style of Cuba in the new restaurant known as Cuba Libre. With camera in tow, I composed and processed the following set of photographs.

In The Dark

The other night I went to visit the landmark spot in downtown Orlando; Lake Eola Park. I had forgot my trusty tripod so  I winged it.  I ended up finding a nice sturdy oak tree, found a steady perch, to position the camera and set my camera- 200 iso - on manual for an 8 second exposure and an fstop of 11. Sometimes when you are not prepared you can come with an acceptable shot. The others are night shots thrown in the mix. Hope you enjoy.

The Barbara Negra

For many years the Barbara Negra  graced the dock directly in front of River Street  in the hostess city of the south; Savannah, GA. on the Savannah River. Built in Norway in 1896 this lovely ship was even used in the movie: "High Wind In Jamaica"  When I visited in 1982 I took this photograph with the old Talmadge Memorial Bridge in the background which has since been replaced.
