1957 Chevy in a Rain Storm

I frequent car shows because there are usually several each month in the great state of Florida. Through the years I have both seen and photographed my share of classic automobiles, from Ford T-Birds and Lincolns to Grand Chryslers and Plymoths. The older Chevys seem to raise eyebrows. A 1957 Chevy BelAir caught my eye and my camera was poised when in a flash a thundershower occured! I found shelter under a carport of a nearby building and continued to snap the shutter during and after the cloudburst. The clear coat waxen finish repelled the water and thousands of droplets gathered on the shiny red and chrome surface. At times, H2O makes for some good photographs, as long as you can keep your camera out of the rain. Glad to share these with you.

Downtown Or Uptown?

I ventured downtown last week with camera in tow. It has always been "Downtown" to me because of my generation. In 1965 an English woman named Petula Clark had an enormous hit with a song of the same name. So downtown has stuck with me all these years. However, lots of people use the expression: Uptown which works as well. Wherever you end up, Downtown or Uptown, always have your camera with you because you never know what you will capture in those particular picturesque areas of most cities and towns throughout the world. A few examples follow:
