In the early 1960's my Father purchased something that changed my life forever. . .A Polaroid camera. It was rather strange in appearance, but it was the latest and greatist in technology at the time. You could snap the shutter, and in seconds out came a picture that slowly developed in front of your eyes in just a few minutes! It was a like having a portable darkroom. Magic! That camera was a springboard into the next decade when I bought my first 35 mm SLR. As they say, the rest is history.

Orlando - the Inner City
Most folks touch down at Orlando's International Airport and head right towards the Theme Park areas; one of Walt Disney World's four Theme Parks or Universal Studios two parks. Way back in the 1960's before the "Mouse" arrived, Orlando was a beautiful sleepy small Florida town. Nowadays it has grown, to well over 3.3 million people in Central Florida, but has maintained it's "small town" cosiness. Nicknamed "The City Beautiful", Orlando strives to live up to that name, especially in the Lake Eola downtown area and in the smaller inner cities Winter Park, College Park and Windermere. The Atlantic Ocean with several beaches is only minutes away. Ever changing, I like to load up the camera on a beautiful day and capture a few images of the Orlando few people see.

Orlando's Theme Parks
As a top vacation destination, Orlando has much to offer. Walt Disney World with it's four parks, not to mention Disney Resorts, Shops, Water Parks and Downtown Disney. A few miles in city limits is Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Another world class attraction is Sea World and Aquatica -a new water park. Put all of these together and a photographer has a never ending palette of subjects. The following is just a sampling.

Through A Curtain
Subtle, diffused images can be attained by actually shooting through a window, something transparent, or in this case, through a sheer curtain. This particular photograph was taken during a wedding ceremony. It captures a faint image of the bride right before she said her vows. Photoshop helped with the final image.
