In the early 1960's my Father purchased something that changed my life forever. . .A Polaroid camera. It was rather strange in appearance, but it was the latest and greatist in technology at the time. You could snap the shutter, and in seconds out came a picture that slowly developed in front of your eyes in just a few minutes! It was a like having a portable darkroom. Magic! That camera was a springboard into the next decade when I bought my first 35 mm SLR. As they say, the rest is history.

Colors Of Autumn
I have to admit, although Central Florida is beautiful in it's own way with blue skies, sandy beaches, palm trees and abundant wildlife, there is only one season here -Hot! So being from the midwest, if I miss anything it would be the chill in the air, the colors of the changing leaves, fresh apple cider and the tremendous beauty of Autumn. We visited South Carolina and few years back around the end of October and enjoyed the time of year we missed so much.

A Day At The Boardwalk
Once in a while we all like to take a walk back in time to remember how things used to be, or to get a new lease on life when things were much simpler. Your can do that by reading a good book, seeing a movie or looking at old pictures. Disney has a well kept secret here in Central Florida called "The Boardwalk" It is an entire resort based on how life was at the turn of the century. I like to stroll around with my camera every so often . . . Hope these photographs take you back.

Wedding Dance
I enjoy looking at a photograph that talks to you without saying a word. After just a few seconds we formulate our own conclusion of what was happening in that single frame. A wedding or a reception can be one of the best examples of this phenomenon. The photograph below illustrates this. You find yourself right in the middle of the crowd of guests observing a special moment between the bride and the groom. The band is playing, and the happy bride embraces her new husband in a dance, and her face says it all. . . .as you press down on the shutter release.

Motif Number 1
A visit to the New England area is not complete without a trip to the beautifully captivating state of Maine. Lots to discover from a photographic point of view in the numerous towns and villages along the northeast sea coast. However, one of the very best images to capture is a fisherman's boathouse commonly referred to as;" Motif Number 1" which can be found on Bradley's Wharf in Rockport Maine.
The spellbinding scene constantly changes with the time of day and the weather. This one was taken in May of 2006.

Blues in Black & White
One of my other interests happens to be "The Blues". There is something about the crazy, raw energy that you can capture from these musicians. Jimi Hendrix once said: "Blues is easy to play, Hard to feel." When I go to shows I always try to carry my trusty Nikon to record some of that musical heartfelt emotion. The following are a couple of examples. Mike Zito (pictured) is from Texas and his music and shows are Amazing.
